Crime Log: Springfest edition

9:27 a.m.

An NU student who was the subject of an earlier well-being check called NUPD and agreed to report for further evaluation and questioning. The student was conscious and alert and did not require medical attention. The student had been in an argument with an individual and left the area. He admitted to drinking underage he previous night. A report was filed.

3:00 p.m.

An NU student called to report that between 2:22 and 2:25 p.m. a former NU student followed her on Huntington Avenue. A report was filed for the stalking incident.

5:45 p.m.

An individual, initially not wishing to give her name or room location, requested a ride and then stated her friend was intoxicated and needed help. NUPD responded to the Willis Hall lobby and requested EMS for the 19-year-old NU student, who could not walk. EMS responded and transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The Residence Director on call was notified, and NUPD provided a return escort at 2:38 a.m.

5:50 p.m.

NUPD reported an NU student outside the front entrance of Matthews Arena who was intoxicated and unable to walk. EMS was notified, but NUPD reported Armstrong Ambulance arrived first. The underage student was evaluated and sent on his way, but was not permitted to enter the arena.

6:06 p.m.

NUPD reported an NU student attempting to enter Matthews Arena who appeared intoxicated. The underage student was evaluated and ejected from the area. A report was filed. 

6:11 p.m.

NUPD reported stopping an NU student in the lobby of Matthews Arena for attempting to enter with alcohol. The student was also with a friend from Wentworth Institute of Technology, who was not in possession of any alcohol. The student provided a Connecticut license with a date of birth of April 1, 1993. NUPD checked and confirmed the student’s correct date of birth is April 1, 1997. NUPD confiscated the alcohol and fake ID. The student was ejected from the arena and a report was filed.

6:32 p.m.

An intoxicated NU student in Section 41 of Matthews Arena was reported. NUPD responded and ejected the 23-year-old from the arena. 

6:40 p.m.

NUPD reported observing a woman being carried near Annunciation Road. NUPD responded, spoke to the NU student and requested EMS, as the woman was intoxicated and unable to walk. EMS arrived and cleared the student, who signed a medical waiver. NUPD escorted the student to her apartment on Tremont Street with her two friends. A report was filed.

6:48 p.m.

NUPD reported an NU student in the Matthews Arena lobby who appeared to be intoxicated. The underage student signed a medical waiver and was sent on his way. A report was filed.

6:53 p.m.

NUPD reported a highly intoxicated 19-year-old in Section 19 of Matthews Arena. NUPD responded and reported relocating the NU student to the medical room for evaluation. Armstrong Ambulance then transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. A fake ID was confiscated.

7:19 p.m.

NUPD reported stopping an NU student on St. Botolph Street who appeared to be intoxicated. NUPD requested an evaluation for the underage student and Armstrong Ambulance responded. The NU student was evaluated and sent on his way.

7:44 p.m.

NUPD requested EMS for an NU student in the lobby of Matthews Arena who appeared to be intoxicated. EMS evaluated the subject and sent him on his way. The student was underage. A report was filed.

7:59 p.m.

NUPD reported confiscating a small handle of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey from an NU student in Matthews Arena. The student was ejected from the concert. A report was filed.

8:02 p.m.

NUPD requested evaluation for an NU student in the lobby of Matthews Arena for intoxication. The student was evaluated and sent on his way. A report was filed.

8:05 p.m.

NUPD reported ejecting an NU student from Matthews Arena after she was found to be intoxicated in the women’s restroom. The student was underage. A report was filed.

8:26 p.m.

NUPD requested an evaluation for an NU student’s friend in the lobby of Matthews Arena. The individual, unaffiliated with NU, was over the age of 21 and sent on his way.

8:42 p.m.

NUPD reported ejecting an NU student from the Springfest concert for intoxication. The student was under 21. A report was filed.

8:52 p.m.

NUPD reported an intoxicated student in the lobby of Matthews Arena. The underage student was evaluated and sent on his way. A report was filed.

9:29 p.m.

An NUPD officer reported being with a student in the lobby of Matthews Arena who another officer was attempting to eject. The NU student became disorderly but again became cooperative and was ejected from the Springfest concert without further incident.

9:32 p.m.

NUPD reported ejecting an intoxicated, underage NU student in Matthews Arena. A report was filed.

9:48 p.m.

NUPD reported trying to eject a man who became disorderly in the lobby of Matthews Arena. NUPD reported the NU student tried to get onto the floor and became disorderly when ejected. He then voluntarily left the arena.
