I’m disappointed in everybody- the entire student body. Where have you all been? Being one of the leaders of Husky Nation and the leader of the basketball team’s student section, the N-Zone, I end up attending a lot of our school’s sporting events, especially the big games, and let me tell you something: these games are a fun time to be at. Our student athletes are at the top level of college athletics and always perform in a way that makes me proud to be a Northeastern Husky.

Expectations were high coming into the season for the men’s ice hockey team. One year after shocking the nation by finishing fifth in Hockey East when they were projected to finish last, Northeastern entered this season ranked 16th in the country and picked to finish fourth in Hockey East. But nothing has gone right since then.

This weekend, the Huskies won in the quarterfinals of Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) tournament play. The first time the Northeastern men’s soccer team left Rudd Field in Elon, N.C. earlier in the season, the embarrassment of a 5-0 loss hung in the air. This time around, things went a little differently.

The Northeastern University equestrian team had a strong showing in its set of competitions this weekend. The 30-member team held a show at home on Saturday at River Wind Barn in Pembroke, in which it placed fourth out of 13 teams. Northeastern then came in fifth in a show hosted by Boston College (BC) on Sunday.

With a 2-0 drubbing of the Hofstra University Pride in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) tournament championship, the Northeastern soccer team earned its second consecutive CAA title and second straight trip to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) tournament.
