Politicians, celebrities, even the Catholic Church – no one is safe at the hands of Daily Show regular, comedian Lewis Black.
Black performed his comedy act to a sold out crowd in Blackman Auditorium Saturday night as part of Homecoming weekend.
Black started off by getting a loud reaction from the audience after saying, “I’m a bitter, angry prick and I believe the Yankees are the root of all evil.”
Even the childhood holiday of Halloween was brutally rebuffed by Black. He said he blamed candy corn for the United States’ “incompetence” in electing a decent president.
Black also touched on topics such as his frustration with the way MTV has destroyed music for him, to what he believes to be “the fact” that Congress sits around and does nothing all day. Black ended his performance to a standing ovation. His final words were, “usually we would stay for autographs and pictures and what not, but the damn bastards want me to do two shows tonight.”
