Speare Commons is usually sprinkled with students studying, drinking coffee or checking their e-mail. But last Friday it was decorated with balloons, cobwebs and a few chalk-lined bodies on the sidewalk outside the entrance.
For five hours in the afternoon, students were invited to join the festivities as Housing Services staff dressed in costumes and welcomed them to the basement of Speare Hall. Activities were held throughout the day, including a trick-or-treat for local daycare children in the morning and an “NU Fear Factor” in the afternoon for students.
