Thursday, April 20

Come to the sassiest music tribute this month and celebrate all things Hispanic pop at Divas Latinas. This show serves to honor Hispanic female artists who have made an impact in the music world. Shake your hips to songs by Shakira and dance to the stylings of Ana Torroja and Laura Pausini. The show is put on by students from the Berklee College of Music and features talent from all over the world including students Joaquina Mertz from Mexico City, Mexico; Precious Perez from Chelsea, Massachusetts; and Joana Elena Obieta from Saint Gallen, Switzerland. Come see just how far the Latin American culture can spread through music and dance.  8 – 10 p.m.; 136 Massachusetts Ave., Boston; $8

Friday, April 21

Come check out one of Northeastern’s student-led dance groups, No Limits Dance Crew, and see what these student dancers and choreographers have been up to this semester. In the Spring ‘17 Showcase, watch dancers from all years and majors take to the stage and perform originally choreographed pieces. No Limits has dancers from every style, from hip-hop and jazz to contemporary and ballet. Last semester, the crew danced to popular songs including “Youth” by Daughter, “PillowTalk” by Zayn and “Up” by Jesse McCartney, to name a few. This year’s show will no doubt feature the hits of 2017, so come through to see if your favorite jam made the list. 7 p.m.; Blackman Auditorium; free.

Saturday, April 22

Diners, Drive-ins, Dives and now Drives; come eat your way through the best food truck delicacies in Boston at the Spring Food Truck Festival. Hosted at the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, the area will be crowded with food trucks and trikes selling everything from burgers to coffee served on a food-trike. Some of the most popular trucks include the Cookie Monstah, serving up Massachusetts-sized ice cream sandwiches, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese from “The Great Food Truck Race” and Bon Me Foods, which also frequents the Northeastern campus. Bring your wallet and appetite and be prepared to eat your way through the parkway. 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; 185 Kneeland Street, Boston; free.

Sunday, April 23

In the words of Homer Simpson, “Mmm, doughnuts.” Join the Angry Donut in its pop-up shop event with the Dorchester Brewing Company. Enjoy crazy doughnut flavors like Fruity Pebbles, chocolate glazed sea salt and peanut butter cup, all expertly matched with a freshly brewed beer. The Angry Donut was started by Tom Quill in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and its products have been sold at the Essex summer farmers market since last year and have gained a super strong foodie following. These donut geniuses are hosting this pop-up for one day only, so get them fresh while they last. Because of the presence of alcohol, this event is 21+. 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; 1250 Massachusetts Ave., Dorchester; free.

Monday, April 24

If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen and this competition. The 2017 El Pelon Chile Eating Contest at El Pelon Taqueria is here and hotter than ever. Contestants will test their tolerance for the hottest of peppers, eating one pepper per round getting progressively hotter and more difficult. The last contestant standing after all others have either tapped out or can’t finish the pepper in the allotted two minutes will be named the “Chili Pepper Eating Champion” and walk home with a trophy and free burritos from El Pelon for one year. If you can’t stomach the competition, come to watch the fiery battle for free burritos. 8 – 10 p.m.; 92 Peterborough Street, Boston; $30 to participate, free to watch.

Tuesday, April 25

To all the avid Huntington News readers and event calendar lovers, here is the perfect event for you. Come show your combined love for breaking news and mac and cheese at the Huntington News Panera Fundraiser event. Simply print the flyer on the Facebook event page, or use the one printed on page 7 of this week’s print edition, and show it to the cashier at checkout and a percentage of the sales will go directly to pay for printing costs for our weekly paper. Wednesday, April 26

It’s not goodbye, it’s just a see you next semester. Send off Northeastern’s beloved a cappella group the Nor’easters by watching them perform one last time this semester in “The Nor’easters Present: Encore.” After the amazing feat of making it to the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) finals in New York City, the Nor’easters are back in Boston to show their hometown how much they love it here at Northeastern. Performing with them are the Harvard LowKeys and Berklee College of Music’s Upper Structure. All three amazing groups are celebrating the end of a great year of music and fun and saying goodbye to their senior members. 8 – 10 p.m.; Blackman Auditorium; free.
