As far as slices go, we Huskies prefer them big, hot and available around the clock. That’s why we voted Cappy’s best delivery for the second year in a row.
In more than 30 years, the Boston slice shop has become a classic late-night stop catering to a high volume of students around campus.
With cheap prices and a menu reaching far beyond award-winning slices, it’s not hard to see why this local establishment has kept its reputation.
Where else can students get a greasy slice of pepperoni at midnight?
Maybe Boston House of Pizza (BHOP), New York Pizza or University House of Pizza could suffice, but close second BHOP couldn’t top Cappy’s 185 votes.
From night to day, Cappy’s also offers a breakfast menu that opens at 6:30 a.m. ‘- a perfect option for students making the morning.
The shop’s website boasts of fine, fresh ingredients. Plus, they serve everything from calzones, burgers, fries and sub sandwiches to hot wings, wraps and salads.
‘I go to Cappy’s whenever I need something cheap and quick,’ said Eric Alves, a junior political science major.
Cappy’s is a better name, Alves said, and the service lives up to it, beating that at BHOP. The pizza is also better all-around, he said. He said Cappy’s is more reminiscent of the food he’s grown up with in New England.
Not only do they accept all cards and cash, but Cappy’s conveniently has two locations close to Northeastern:’ one at 82 Westland Ave. and the other at 309 Huntington Ave.
Unfortunately, they do not take Husky Cards, but apparently that’s not enough to stop them from winning ‘Best Slice’ more than once.
