Shots Fired on Tremont Street

A man was shot at a hair salon around 5:57 p.m. Tuesday near Tremont and Hammond streets, not far from the Northeastern area.

According to the Boston Police Department (BPD)’s bpdnews.com, the victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center, where he was officially pronounced dead; he was in his 30s. The Northeastern University Public Safety Division (NUPD) notified the Northeastern community via email approximately an hour later, saying that the suspect fled the area.

Currently, the Boston Police Homicide Unit is investigating the death and welcomes any community member who has information pertaining to the shooting incident to call BPD at (617) 343-4470.
