Centennial Commons is a popular lawn on Northeastern University’s campus created to celebrate Northeastern’s 100th birthday in 1998. Centennial is used for students to socialize, as well as for events and outreach hosted by various groups around the university. It is a vast expanse of grass and walkways, bordering Robert J. Shillman Hall, Ruggles Station, Ryder Hall, Meserve Hall, Leon Street and Forsyth Street.
