Boston hosted two Veterans’ Day parades Saturday: one to honor the men and women who have served in the military and another to call for an end to war throughout the world.

Second-year Louiza Wise led the way for the women, finishing in 47th place with a time of 22:47. Fourth-year Brooke Wojeski finished next in 94th place with a time of 23:25. Fourth-year Kerri Ruffo, third-year Camila Cortina and first-year Grace Bugara followed with times of 23:44, 24:09 and 24:54.

Nonprofit collects produce for Boston hunger relief

The Boston Area Gleaners are a non-profit organization located in Cambridge which partners with farms to harvest and collect their surplus crops. They then donate the produce to local hunger relief agencies, including the Greater Boston Food Bank and Food for Free.

Northeastern renames veterans center, updates memorial

University President Joseph E. Aoun announced the veteran center on campus will be endowed by and renamed for the Dolce family at a ceremony honoring Northeastern’s veteran community Friday.
