The Gummy
For Conor’s bartender Matty P., this is the go-to drink of the summertime. Last weekend definitely felt like a glimpse of August with 80-degree weather and sunny skies.
This could be the perfect drink to reminisce about umbrella topped drinks on the beach.
Ingredients:
3/4 oz. Gummy Pinnacle vodka
3/4 oz. berry vodka – preferably 3 Olives
Pineapple juice
Cranberry juice
Lime wedge to garnish
Directions:
Pour the liquor into a glass with ice. Fill it to the top with equal parts pineapple and cranberry juices. Put the cup part of a cocktail shaker over the glass and shake, don’t stir, the mixture. Add a lime wedge to the top to garnish.
Desert Sunrise
Matty P. said this week’s “fruity and delicious” mocktail is also intended to bring back memories of the summertime. It’s essentially a dry version of a Tequila Sunrise, hence the use of the word “desert” in the title.
Ingredients:
Enough ice to fill a standard glass
Enough orange juice to fill 3/4 of the glass
Ginger ale
Grenadine
Directions:
Fill a glass to the rim with ice and pour orange juice three quarters of the way to the top. Fill the remainder of the glass with ginger ale and add a dash of grenadine, which will sink to the bottom. Stir it up and enjoy.
