Think Mom’s roast turkey and pumpkin pie are the only ways to celebrate fall? Not so fast. Dining Services’ fall food schedule will have your mouth watering.
International Village:
Nov. 9: Thanksgiving will come early when International Village serves a feast complete with traditional Thanksgiving favorites like turkey, mashed potatoes and apple pie.
Nov. 14-17: Taste dishes students have whipped up and entered into the student recipe contest. Winners will be announced Nov. 28.
Stetson West & the Levine Marketplace:
Nov. 3: Need your chocolate fix? Head to a fondue bar in both Stetsons, where everything from pound cake to cantaloupe can be dipped in chocolate.
Nov. 10: For a unique twist on fall staples, check out the ice cream candy apple bar. Ice cream topped off with cinnamon spice and caramel will be served and garnished with a variety of seasonal toppings, including baked apples.
Nov. 17: If you missed the International Village Thanksgiving feast (or just want a second helping,) round two will be happening in Stetson West and the Levine Marketplace.
Xhibition Kitchen:
Nov. 3: If you’re tired of boring meals but aren’t quite a gourmet chef, come see a demonstration by Melissa Clark, in an event called “Cook This Now.”
Nov. 16: Kathleen Flinn comes to the Xhibition Kitchen in an event called “Kitchen Counter Cooking School” to showcase her book “The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry,” which she wrote after giving nine cooking amateurs culinary lessons.
Nov. 17: Paula Wolfert comes to the Xhibition Kitchen with a demonstration from her book, “The Food of Morocco.”
