Men’s basketball claims piece of CAA regular season title

The last-second play that head coach Bill Coen drew up with 18 seconds left in last night’s game turned into as big of a frenzy as the season-record 3,463 Matthews Arena crowd. After a near-turnover and a Jonathan Lee pass, the ball ended up in the hands of freshman David Walker.

Runners and throwers qualify for postseason competition

The Northeastern men’s and women’s track teams ended regular season competition with a successful showing at the Boston University Fast Meet at BU last Thursday, with numerous Huskies taking advantage of their last chance to qualify for the New England championships. But when the men’s hockey team traveled to the University of Massachusetts for a rescheduled match stemming from winter storm Nemo and waited through a 30-minute delay, the Huskies left Amherst with two crucial Hockey East points and a 5-4 overtime victory.
