Members of the Northeastern University community gathered Wednesday to celebrate the life of former sports information director Jack Grinold, who died in April.

Jack Grinold, 81, who made a home on Huntington Avenue for over half a century as Northeastern University’s sports information director and was recognized both nationally and locally for his pride and dedication to the institution, died April 21 after years of declining health.
The Huskies tallied 11 hits in Friday’s match but drew only one walk, emblematic of the series as a whole. The team ripped 37 hits but managed two total walks across the three games.
