Cross country concludes regular season in Connecticut

The women’s team finished sixth overall, averaging a time of 10:54 in the 3K. Monmouth (190 points), Central Connecticut State (191 points) and Northeastern (196 points) averaged a time of 10:54, but because Monmouth and Central Connecticut State scored fewer points, they beat out the Huskies. Northeastern edged out Boston College by two points to snag sixth place.

Women’s hockey finds power play success in weekend sweep

Fourth-year forward Denisa Krizova fired a slapshot past Maddi Welch in net on the power play to add to the lead and to her career totals. Krizova now has 92 assists in her collegiate career, moving her closer to passing 1998 graduate Hilary Witt for fourth place on the all-time NU list with 95 assists.

Heckling etiquette cannot be infallibly enforced, and no player can be expected to absorb every foul thing said to them during an 82-game season without retaliation. Both will continue and, done the right way, both can enhance the sport and can be encouraged.
