Underdown was named CAA Player of the week for the second time in a row Monday, after totaling 13 kills against Delaware and 24 against Towson. The California native served over eight aces and compiled 16 digs over the course of the two matches as well.

The Huskies notched their 12th consecutive home victory against the University of Delaware Thursday and capped off a strong week with a road win at James Madison University (JMU) on Sunday, bringing the Red and Black to a 9-4-1 record on the season.

Field hockey splits first CAA road trip

Despite splitting the weekend with a win over Towson and a loss at the hands of William & Mary, Northeastern had much to celebrate. Fourth-year forwards Kellie Stigas and Jamie Bartucca tallied new career bests and second-year midfielder Megan Barrett notched her first career goal.

The highlight of Friday’s Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) opener against UNCW was outside hitter Amy Underdown’s performance. The second year posted 28 kills in the match — a number that has not been achieved by a Northeastern player since Lauren DeTurk in 2008.
