Students up late studying at Snell Library may not have to head home by midnight for much longer if the Student Government Association has its way.
SGA collected over 400 student surveys in the past two weeks that show students want a quiet study space on campus where they can study after midnight, said Vice President for Academic Affairs Ashley Adams.
The survey asked students where they study the most and how much longer they would stay at the library if it were open past midnight.
“The general feeling is that many people want the library open longer,” Adams said. “However, they’d also like additional study space.”
Currently, the library is open until midnight Sunday through Thursday, until 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 p.m. on Saturday. Two 24-hour study spaces are provided by Information Services, InfoCommons and the CyberCaf
