I just want to take the time to thank all of the over 100 students that lined up out the door and around the Red Cross Bloodmobile to give the gift of life on Nov. 18. Kappa Sigma worked very hard to make this community service program the tremendous success that it was.
The Red Cross had set a goal of 60 units of blood, but with over 100 Northeastern students eagerly lining up to give life, we far surpassed that goal. Community service has been at the forefront of student life during this fall/holiday season with blood drives, food and clothing drives and, of course, the 8th Annual PBJam. I think it is amazing this community can get together for the common good.
Thank you Northeastern. And special thanks must be given to the brothers of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, especially Ryan Nadeau, our community service chair, for putting together our amazingly successful blood drive and spearheading the volunteer efforts of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity this year.
For any of you that didn’t get a chance to give blood, Kappa Sigma and the American Red Cross are already talking about teaming up again in the spring. Thanks again NU.
