Springfest 2005 is about to begin, and this time, it doesn’t look like anything – or anyone – is going to keep parts of it from happening. A wide array of events will occur throughout the week-long celebration, which runs April 4-9 on the Northeastern campus. The Council for University Programs (CUP) has been busy for months setting up the special events, said Springfest organizer Caitlin Lowell.
“We started meeting before Christmas vacation, back in the fall semester,” Lowell said. “We set up a committee and we’ve been through deciding which events would work. We’ve been at it for months in advance.”
Lowell said it has been a stressful job organizing an event of this magnitude, but she’s ready to see her and the rest of CUP’s work rewarded.
“It’s been hard having to deal with a lot of stuff over this event,” she said. “But it’ll be nice to see it pay off.
