The money will go toward hiring a full-time archivist and two graduate students, Krizack said. The records, created by members of the African-American and Latino communities, document themes relating to school desegregation, public policy formation and health issues, among others, during the last decades of the 20th century. The materials will then be made available “for research for people at Northeastern or anybody who wants to do research on it,” Krizack said. The materials will be stored in the archives department in Snell Library.
