College of Business Administration alumnus
chosen for job with Clinton Bush Haiti Fund
Northeastern College of Business Administration graduate Patrick Gaston was named to a one-year post with the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.
Gaston, who received a master’s of business administration in 1992, will serve as executive in residence for the group starting Monday. He is also president of the Verizon Foundation.
“I have always wanted an opportunity to contribute to Haiti in a larger and impactful way, and I think this is the greatest opportunity for me to do that,” Gaston said in a news release issued this week by Northeastern.
He will be responsible for global outreach for the fund, as well as generating continued support for Haiti relief.
Gaston was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, before he and his family moved to the United States when he was 9 years old.
The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund was founded in January 2010, when President Barack Obama collaborated with former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush to establish an organization to help Haiti recover from a devastating earthquake last January.
