False Alarm in Marino
At 5:59 p.m. last night, a fire alarm sounded at Marino Center, evacuating the entire building and alerting the Boston Fire Department (BFD) BFD officials said. A firetruck and ladder stayed at Marino Center for approximately 11 minutes, where it was discovered there was an alarm malfunction and students were allowed back inside.

Display of Negro League Baseball in 360 Gallery
An art exhibition named “Shades of Greatness: The Art of Negro League Baseball” will be on display through July 23 in Gallery 360 between the Curry Student Center and Ell Hall, according to a university announcement. Presentation Thursday on Consciousness Demystified
MIT researcher Marvin Minsky will visit campus to share “Consciousness Demystified,” a multimedia presentation, Thursday at 7:15 p.m., according to the Northeastern events calendar. The presentation will introduce the building blocks of a computer, and how evolving a computer system to the level of complexity of a human being requires introduction of consciousness into the system. Weekly lunchtime meditations in Sacred Space
Each Friday through summer, the Sacred Space on the second floor of Ell Hall will host half-hour guided meditations at noon, according to the Northeastern events calendar. The meditations are suited for any level, and is open to people of any/no faith or spirituality, and meditation cushions and benches will be provided.
