On behalf of the Student Government Association (SGA), we would like to express our gratitude to Vice President for Student Affairs Ed Klotzbier for his dedication and the many sacrifices he has made to improve student life over the past eight years. From being a constant presence at athletic events, to speaking at dozens of student group meetings, to keeping an open-door policy for all, Ed has been an unparalleled presence in student affairs and will be greatly missed.
Ed embodies the true spirit of a Husky and has led Northeastern, his alma mater, from its days as a small commuter school to one of the largest research universities in the country. He has not only been a friend to SGA, but a friend to all students, and has constantly used his position to improve the student experience.
Throughout his tenure, Ed has shown an unmatched commitment to projects like off-campus accessibility, providing resources to student organizations, and increasing students’ opportunities for academic success. His accomplishments at the university are countless, but most importantly, Ed has served as the true embodiment of the Husky spirit, always beaming with pride to be an alumnus, professor and administrator at Northeastern University. Ed always makes us feel honored to be Huskies.
As senior administration begins to search for a new vice president, we hope that they consider candidates who possess the same spirit and dedication to students and student life that Ed has. Further, we plan to ensure that students are actively involved in the search process.
Ed, Northeastern will miss you and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
