To my fellow Huskies,
I’m running for Mayor of Huntington Avenue and I’m asking for your support in my efforts to represent our university.
I am running because, like each of you, I do not believe in passing up opportunities that I am passionate about, and I want to pass on my enthusiasm for the Northeastern experience. The opportunities that Northeastern offers provide us with so many chances for growth, education and discovery – countless chances to “Be NU.”
Pronounced “Be New”, Be NU describes my philosophy on why I believe in Northeastern and why I’m vying to represent our university as the next Mayor of Huntington Avenue.
I’m sure that your time here provides each of you with a completely different, yet equally valuable, set of experiences. Our Husky experiences allow each and every one of us to “Be NU,” to constantly re-define ourselves as we progress through our years at Northeastern, pursuing our passions.
With Homecoming right around the corner, we as Huskies often find ourselves connecting with NU alumni by discussing our commonalities – namely, our traditions, our campus and our Husky pride – but what really brings us together as Huskies is the unique experiences that we all take advantage of. From traveling on Alternative Spring Breaks, to exploring international co-ops, to planning shows in Blackman Auditorium, to leading group projects, the Husky tradition involves us all to taking initiative and making the most of our opportunities.
It is important to remember that there is no one quintessential Northeastern experience – it’s a different and unpredictable 4, 5 or 6 years for all of us, that benefits each of us in unique and valuable ways. And that’s what brings us together as Huskies – that ongoing desire to “Be NU.”
I hope to share that message with our community as the next Mayor of Huntington Avenue, and if you share this belief in the Northeastern experience, I ask for your support.
