Alternative Health Day in Curry today
The Phi Delta Chi pharmacy fraternity is hosting Alternative Health Day beginning at 9 a.m. today in the Curry Student Center indoor quad, according to a message from the group. Activities include a blood drive in the Curry Student Center ballroom, making stress balls in the indoor quad, an acupuncture presentation at noon and a free yoga session in the McLeod Suites at 3 p.m. There will also be health information and giveaways throughout the day. Meditation session Monday
There will be a half-hour guided meditation next Monday at 11:15 a.m. in the Sacred Space in Ell Hall, according to the campus calendar. The meditation is suitable for any level from beginner and advanced meditators, and cushions and benches will be provided. Gender violence prevention program next week
The Center for Sports in Society is hosting Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP), a three-day certification program aimed to motivate men and women to help solve problems related to rape, battery and sexual harassment.
