For the third year in a row, Northeastern’s Career Services office was ranked the best career service department in the nation by the Princeton Review.

The rankings, part of The Best 373 Colleges book, were released Monday, though the details of the lists have not been released besides the top holder of each.

The Career Services office offers a variety of help for students, ranging from career fairs, interview help, and panels ranging for specific jobs to graduate school.

Director of Communications Renata Nyul attributed part of the success of Career Services to the success of the co-op program.

“In addition to being a powerful educational approach, co-op connects Northeastern students to a network of employers worldwide,” Nyul said. “This gives our students an indisputable edge in the job market.”

Students said they felt that Career Services deserved the placement, even if they hadn’t have much direct interaction with staff members.

“I went to one of the panels about graduate school and it was really helpful,” said Emma Bloomfeld, a junior communication studies major. “I don’t know it as well as the Princeton Review would … but I’m pretty confident in [Career Services].”

Officials also credited the work of the Career Services staff, who counsels students and coordinates events, for the success.

“It’s always great to see the hard work of our dedicated staff get this kind of recognition,” Nyul said.

The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in order like U.S. News and World Report, author Robert Franek said in a press release, rather compiles lists of how students value their college experiences.

Additionally, Northeastern’s undergraduate entrepreneurship program was ranked 12, and Boston was ranked the 13 college town.
