Women’s crew set to compete in first ever Colonial Athletic Association Championship
The women’s crew will compete in the first ever Colonial Athletic Association Championship (CAA) held this year April 18, the league announced yesterday. The championship will be held on the Schuykill River in Philadelphia. This is the first season the CAA will be sponsoring women’s rowing and has five members. Northeastern, Delaware, Drexel, George Mason and Old Dominion will all be participating along with associate member, Buffalo. The event will take place at 10 a.m. and will feature races in Varsity 8, Varsity 4 and Second Varsity 8. On Saturday, April 4, the Huskies will begin the 2009 Regatta season on the Charles River.

Northeastern Athletics announces viewing parties for NCAA hockey tournament
Northeastern athletics has announced two viewing parties for the NCAA men’s hockey tournament. Fans of all ages can watch the Huskies battle Cornell Saturday at 4 p.m. at either Qdoba or Conor Larkins. Should the Huskies advance, fans 21 and older can watch Sunday’s game against Notre Dame or Bemidji State at Conor Larkins. Qdoba will also be showing Sunday’s game.’ This year marks the first time the Huskies have qualified for the NCAA tournament since 1994.
