Aoun delivers commencement speeches abroad
Northeastern President Joseph Aoun has delivered commencement addresses at two universities overseas and will deliver another on July 11 when he addresses the graduating class of Holy Spirit of Kaslik in Beirut, Lebanon. He gave his first speech June 24 at the American College of Thessaloniki, Greece, and his second at Bahcesehir University in Istanbul, Turkey. In an article posted on Boston.com June 25, Aoun said he will encourage students to get out of their comfort zones and embrace all the world has to offer. He also said he has considered delivering the final speech in Arabic, but he has yet to decide because he has lived in the United States for 30 years and is not sure if his Arabic will be too rusty.
