A Husky rower will compete for a world championship later this month.
Senior Brad Bertoldo of the men’s crew team was named to the 2009 United States Under 23 National team roster July 13. He will compete in the sport’s World Championships in Racice, Czech Republic, July 23 to 26.
His selection to the team comes following his participation in the Under 23 National Selection Camp in Oklahoma City June 12. His teammate, junior Mike Iannazzo, also attended the camp.
Bertoldo rowed in the five seat for the varsity boat the last two seasons. In 2007 he won the Parker Award for Outstanding Freshman and in 2008 he was named Most Improved Oarsman.
