Lecture on post-war gender roles today
On Thursday, professors Laura Frader and Christina Gilmartin will discuss post-war women’s activism and gender-based state policies in 440 Egan Research Center from 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The lecture, titled “Gender Matters: ‘War, States, and Women’s Activism: A conversation between two historians” is free and open to the public. Peer education drinking program Saturday
Sigma Phi Epsilon, Office of Prevention and Education and the Physician Assistant Student Society is sponsoring Red Watch Band, a peer education program on Saturday March 13 in International Village, Room 14. The event will provide students tools for how to react when a friend is too intoxicated. The training day runs from 1 pm to 5 pm and is free to students. Students will be taught how to reduce potential alcohol related injuries and the resources available on campus. CPR training and certification will also be included in the program, according the Facebook event.

Business Case Competition Team places Northeastern’s Business Case Competition Team competed in the Business Strategy Challenge at Georgetown University during the weekend of February 26-28. The team placed second in the competition ahead of teams from New York University, George Washington University and Cornell University among others, according to an email. The team will be attending another competition in Rhode Island in April. A Facebook fan page has recently been created and can be referenced for more information.

Right to Life week begins Monday
Northeastern Right to Life is sponsoring a week long series of pro-life events beginning Monday night with a Pro-life, Pro-choice Debate at 7 pm in the Curry Student Center Indoor Quad. A luncheon lecture on Wednesday will focus on genetic testing and a former abortionist will speak on Thursday night, according to the Facebook group. The week will culminate in a comedy night featuring Paul Nardizzi to benefit the American Cancer Society. More information can be found on the Northeastern Right to Life Facebook group.
