The women’s basketball team announced its schedule for the 2009-10 season Sept. 3.
‘ The Huskies, who were 11-18 last season, open up on the road Nov. 14 with a tough test against the defending National Champion UConn Huskies in Storrs, Conn. The home opener is Nov. 21 in Matthews Arena as the Huskies take on Rhode Island.
‘ Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play begins Jan. 3 as the team travels to Richmond, Va. to take on Virginia Commonwealth (VCU). The Huskies host James Madison, who sent Northeastern home from the CAA Championship last year, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. on Solomon Court. Senior Night will be the season finale contest against VCU March 3.
‘ After an 8-10 record in CAA games and a trip to the quarterfinals of the CAA Championship last year, the women will look for a strong performance in Harrisburg, Va. March 11 to 14 in the 2010 CAA Championship.
‘ All home games will be played on Solomon Court except for Nov. 21 against URI and Nov. 28 against Army, which will both be at Matthews Arena.
