The Irving M. Levine Marketplace, renamed from Stetson East Marketplace in 2001, is a dining hall at Northeastern University. Still commonly referred to by students as “Stetson East,” the eatery is located on the bottom floor of the Stetson East residence hall. The restaurant-style dining hall offers Italian, Chinese, rotisserie and grill selections, as well as a salad bar. The 2001 upgrade increased the seating capacity by almost 200 percent and added an elevator.
The marketplace was renamed in recognition of Irving M. Levine’s $1.3 million donation to the leadership campaign, not his first, but his largest, donation to Northeastern. After graduating from Northeastern, Levine moved to California where he founded Multiquip, Inc. Levine is also the namesake of the residence hall at 122 St. Stephens Street, which was named for him in 1997.
