Focused on sustainability, the Husky Environmental Action Team (HEAT) is a student group at Northeastern working to reduce campus greenhouse emissions. HEAT has hosted several informational events across campus to promote the responsible use of food, waste and energy on campus. Members volunteer at environmental events across Boston, promote composting on campus, host speakers and established the Renewable Energy Fund. They are also responsible for the Trash 2 Treasure event hosted each semester at NU.
