Monday, Jan.12
6:10 p.m.
A staff member at Snell Library reported that a student left her wallet unattended in the Argo Tea seating area and the wallet is now missing. A report was filed.
9:26 p.m.
Northeastern University Police Department (NUPD) officers reported stopping and speaking to a student who refused to move his vehicle from the fire lane at West Village C. The student became disorderly but eventually complied and moved the vehicle. His information was collected.
Tuesday, Jan. 13
6:13 p.m.
A student reported that some of his belongings had been stolen from his room over winter break. An NUPD officer spoke to the student, who reported that a new roommate was supposed to move in, and housekeeping may have believed the room was supposed to be vacant. He was missing bedding, clothing and items from his wall. The officer attempted to contact housekeeping and recover the belongings, but the office was unstaffed at the time. A report was filed.
10:39 p.m.
A Marino Center staff member reported a student’s cell phone was stolen. NUPD responded and spoke to the student, who had left his cell phone unattended by the right basketball court on the second floor. A report was filed.
10:51 p.m.
An officer was approached by a student who reported his unattended cell phone was stolen from the center basketball court on the second floor of the Marino Center. A report was filed.
Wednesday, Jan. 14
11:48 a.m.
A student reported to NUPD that his mountain bike was stolen from the bike racks in front of the Marino Center over winter break. He explained that the front tire is still locked to the racks. A report was filed.
Thursday, Jan. 15
6:02 p.m.
A vehicle was found on fire outside of 624 Columbus Ave. Boston Fire Department attended to the vehicle, and Boston Police Department towed it and placed the owner, not affiliated with Northeastern, under arrest for driving without a valid license.
10:01 p.m.
NUPD officers stopped two students and one party not affiliated with the university on Gainsborough Street for a liquor law violation. A 30-pack of beer was confiscated, and all parties were sent on their way. The non-student will be summons, and the students’ case was referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (O.S.C.C.R.).
Friday, Jan. 16
4:24 p.m.
NUPD found two fake IDs and one container of mace while conducting inventory of a student’s lost purse. An officer spoke with the student and confiscated all offending items. A report was filed.
9:18 p.m.
A Resident Assistant (RA) in 10 Coventry St. reported a smell of marijuana on the fourth floor of the building. An NUPD officer responded and reported confiscating a small amount of the substance and a glass bowl from two students. A report was filed and the students were referred to O.S.C.C.R.
11 p.m.
NUPD reported a student in front of Speare Hall on Huntington Avenue for possession of alcohol while underage. A 30-pack of Budweiser was confiscated, and a report was filed.
Saturday, Jan. 17
12:58 p.m.
A student reported thather laptop was taken from a room in Smith Hall. The computer, which contains tracking software, is believed to have been stolen between the hours of 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. the previous night. A report was filed.
2:47 p.m.
An RA on duty in West Village A reported offensive language written on a white board and door. NUPD responded and took photos. An officer erased the messages, but residents of the vandalized room could not be located at the time. A report was filed.
Sunday, Jan. 18
12:20 a.m.
An anonymous caller reported a loud group in the alleyway near 53 Hemenway St. Officers checked the area and heard loud music coming from the third floor of 55 Hemenway St. Officers spoke with three Berklee College of Music students, who are residents of the apartment, and found approximately 100 to 120 people inside. Partygoers were sent on their way and residents will be summoned for keeping a disorderly household.
1:04 a.m.
A student reported a friend was intoxicated and vomiting in the fourth floor women’s bathroom of Stetson East. The drunken student also had a small bump on her head. Officers responded and requested Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for the female student, who was conscious but only semi-alert. EMS transported the underage party to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the Residence Director (RD) on call was notified.
1:22 a.m.
While responding to a noise complaint at 55 Hemenway Street an NUPD officer arrested a Berklee student at 1:05 a.m. for assaulting a police officer.
2:37 a.m.
An RA reported a resident was intoxicated and vomited in the West Village F lobby. Officers responded and requested EMS for the female, who was conscious but not alert. EMS responded and transported the underage party to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The RD on call was notified.
10:28 a.m.
A student in East Village called to report receiving harassing text messages. A report was filed.
Monday, Jan.19
4:12 a.m.
An intoxicated student was attempting to enter Speare Hall. An NUPD officer responded and requested EMS for the student, who was conscious but not alert. EMS responded and declined to transport the student. The underage student returned to his room for the night.
