The women’s hockey team had opportunities to pick up ground in Hockey East play this weekend, but couldn’t cash in.
The Huskies sit at sixth in Hockey East at 1-4-1 (2-8-1 overall), just ahead of Maine and Vermont, both of whom are winless in the conference. The Huskies picked up a point in a 3-3 tie at Vermont Saturday, and lost a hard-fought game in overtime at Connecticut, 3-2, Sunday.
“We played well but realistically we should have won both games,” said senior co-captain Amy Goodney. “We could have come out with four Hockey East points this weekend and we only came out with one. We’re going to have to work really hard to make those points up
