In response to the cover story of The News which included the quote, “Although there were few incidents last night, a News reporter observed the arrest of a young man, without shoes, wearing a red Northeastern T-shirt. The man was accosted by officers for allegedly tipping over a mailbox, witnesses said,” (“Patriots lose, shoes come off,” Feb. 4): The creme de la creme of Northeastern are showing their true colors once again. How many millions of dollars do you think it cost the city in police overtime pay last weekend? We in the adjoining neighborhoods are held hostage and have to park elsewhere lest your lovely students flip out and flip over our cars again just because the scum of all scum who go to Northeastern, who would never be accepted anywhere else, decide to go on a rampage from time to time.

Your institution should become a gated community and many of us will continue to pressure the city to isolate your cancerous influence even more.
