The Huskies sent the members of the track team to the Valentine’s Invitational at Boston University Saturday, where they experienced varying degrees of success.
For the men’s side, Northeastern was led by junior Dan Anderson who finished seventh in the pole vault among a field of 30 with a mark of 15’1″. Also leading the pack for NU was sophomore Adrian Li, who finished eighth in the high jump with a 1.98-meter jump, and freshman Andrew Staples, who finished ninth in both the high and long jump. Staples jumped 6.64-meters in the long jump and 1.93-meters in the high jump to earn his places.
For the women, the Huskies were paced by a 4×400 relay team that finished third at 3:50.17. In individual events, junior Brittany Moriarty managed a fifth place finish in the 1,000-meter with a 2:57.88 time. Junior Olivia Kalinowska also brought home a finish of fifth with her 11’9.75″ height in the pole vault.
