For the first time since the 2002-03 season, two women’s hockey players have been named to the Hockey East Mission All-Rookie team.
Netminder Leah Sulyma and forward Kristi Kehoe were named to the team by the head coaches in Hockey East, with position on the ice not being a factor.
Sulyma also received the Three Stars Award and is the first freshman in women’s Hockey East history to do so. This season, she collected Star of the Game honors in 13 out of 21 conference games and First Star of the game five time.
Kehoe finished this season with a team-high 25 points in 33 games, as well as 11 assists and 14 goals. These stats ranked her second in Hockey East and ninth in the country.
The women’s hockey team ended the 2007-08 campaign in regular season play March 2.
