Grant Oberg said his realization that the Student Government Association (SGA) wasn’t the same organization now as when he first joined halfway through his freshman year was the essential reason for his resignation as SGA parliamentarian.
Oberg, who resigned from his position and from SGA April 6, said the SGA used to discuss elections in terms of who had the best capability to lead the student body.
“Now [the questions] are on drama and really just more internal politics,” Oberg said. “We were ignoring the student body just so we could pay attention to our own internal conflict.
