The Massachusetts Avenue Bridge
“That bridge on the way to MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in between Cambridge and Boston, where that guy from MIT measured it in his own height the whole way and invented his own unit of measurement [is one of my favorite places in the city]. Being on the middle of the bridge and looking back at Boston just might be the greatest feeling ever.

Brothers in the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity used freshman Oliver R. Smoot to measure the length of the bridge, according to an MIT website.

The Central Library at 700 Boylston Street is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Trident Booksellers and Cafe
