April 30, 2024

April marked the end of the spring semester and had no shortage of activity. Students viewed the solar eclipse, runners took on the Boston Marathon and college protesters formed encampments across the country. We sent our photographers out to capture it all, and here’s the best of what they brought back.

Darin Zullo is a third-year journalism and English combined major with a minor in photojournalism. He is the deputy lifestyle editor of The News after serving as deputy photo editor for two semesters. Darin has also written for The Global Observer and The Scope and is excited to bring new and engaging ideas to The News' lifestyle section.

Annika Sunkara is a third-year journalism major and social media editor at The News. Previously serving as audiovisual editor, her work centers on engaging and expanding The News’ audience. Mars Poper is a third-year criminal justice and psychology combined major with a minor in theatrical design and a member of the photo team. Margot Murphy, Deputy Photo Editor

Excited to begin her second year, Margot Murphy is a journalism major with a psychology minor and is a deputy photo editor at The News. Her first year she worked as a staff member and photographer, competing in ballroom dancing on the side. Margot is looking forward to photographing events, chatting at print nights and meeting everyone. You can check out her work @murph.photo.

Elizabeth Scholl, Deputy Photo Editor

Elizabeth Scholl is a third-year pharmaceutical sciences major with a minor in business administration. She currently serves as one of the deputy photo editors for The News. Her favorite events to photograph include sports, concerts and anything The News needs last minute.

Jessica Xing, Photo Editor
