Tensions ran high in November as activists marched for women’s rights, voters geared up for a combative presidential election and protesters clashed over abortion rights. In between these moments the community gathered for Veterans Day, hockey games and more. We sent our photographers out to capture it all, and here’s the best of what they brought back.

Excited to begin her second year, Margot Murphy is a journalism major with a psychology minor and is a deputy photo editor at The News. Her first year she worked as a staff member and photographer, competing in ballroom dancing on the side.
