Northeastern University is taking several steps to exert more control over its students in the Mission Hill neighborhood in response to pressure applied from a well-organized group of concerned area residents.
Their efforts seem to be having an effect thus far, since the number of reported incidents of student misconduct on Mission Hill is declining. Some students are shocked to find that even though they don’t live under the direct supervision of the University, their actions on Mission Hill can get them into trouble with Northeastern as well as the police.
