Men’s track sprinter Idris Payne has been selected as this edition’s NU News Player of the Week. The sophomore speedster set a new school record in the 200-meter dash during last week’s meet against Harvard. His mark of 21.7 seconds bettered the old standard of 21.8 seconds held by Ben Thurston and Dave Klemic. He won the race by a full half-second over teammate Aaa Sikka. – Jack Weiland
