More Jon Stewart tickets will be available tonight
Tickets for the Jon Stewart performance at Matthews Arena will be on sale again today at 6 p.m. through the myNEU portal in the “myTickets” channel, said Sam Peisner, president of the Council for University Programs (CUP). Any students who placed a ticket order that has been confirmed can pick up the tickets at the NU Ticket Center in 109 Ell Hall. Students must present their NU IDs or have the printed order confirmation in order to pick up the tickets.

Sculpture exhibit to open Curry’s new Gallery 360
The new Curry Student Center art gallery will open Thursday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. in Ell Hall, according to a myNEU announcement. The gallery, Gallery 360, will have found-object sculptor Michael Ulman’s exhibit of fantasy machines. The art gallery is Northeastern’s and Boston’s newest venue for the presentation of the visual arts, the announcement said.

Program running cell phone drive through Nov. 7
There will be a cell phone drive until Friday, Nov. 7, according to a myNEU announcement. The drive is sponsored by the Community Advocacy Program of the Center for Community Health Education, Research and Service, in collaboration with Verizon Wireless’ Hopeline New England Program. The Community Advocacy Program is a partnership of six community health centers that provides crisis intervention and a range of critical counseling, support and advocacy services for victims of dating and domestic violence in surrounding communities, the announcement said. Students can donate their cell phones, which can be old and/or broken, at the Marino Center, the Curry Student Center Information Desk or in 398 Columbus Place, according to the announcement. The funds raised support an Emergency Assistance Fund for survivors of dating and domestic violence, the announcement said.

‘New Lasagna’ author coming to Xhibition Kitchen
The Xhibition Kitchen in Stetson West Eatery is hosting a cookbook demo signing with Maria Bruscino Sanchez Oct. 8 at noon, according to a myNEU announcement. Sanchez is the author of “The New Lasagna Cookbook.” In her book, Sanchez gives recipes for dishes like Lasagne Quattro Formaggi, Artichoke and Spinach Lasagna and Pulled Pork Barbecue Lasagna, the announcement said. The event is available to all students and the university community who have meal plans. The cost of admission is one meal from students’ meal plan, Profiler Plan, Husky or Dining Dollars, which includes all you can eat lunch from the dining room and the Xhibition Kitchen demonstration.

GE Director to give speech about global research
Senior Vice President and Director of General Electric (GE) Global Research Mark Little will be at Northeastern Wednesday, Oct. 8 at noon to give a speech about GE Global Research in “Redefining What’s Possible,” according to a myNEU announcement. The event will be held in West Village F, and pizza and soda will be served. Little is responsible for leading one of the world’s largest and most diversified industrial research and technology organizations for GE’s long-range technology needs, the announcement said.
