Renter’s rights discussed at workshop in Curry A workshop addressing common off-campus student concerns will be held Thursday, Oct. 23 in Room 340 of the Curry Student Center. The Boston Rental Housing Resource Center and Inspectional Services will provide information on renter’s rights and how to deal with landlords. Dining Services raises awareness with pink cookies Dining Services and Otis Spunkmeyer, a baked goods company, are sponsoring The Pink Cookie for a Cause Breast Cancer Awareness Week from Oct. 20 through Oct. 24, according to a myNEU announcement. The chocolate cookies with pink candy-coated chocolate pieces will be available for sale at Churchill Hall, Cyber Cafe, On the Go at Crossroads and the 716 Columbus Cafe. The cookies will also be served in Levine Marketplace, Stetson West Eatery and Outtakes. Spunkmeyer will donate the proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, according to the announcement. On Wednesday, the Xhibition Kitchen is hosting an events where students can get free Pink cookies and information from the National Breast Cancer Foundation, according to the announcement.

Wallace to lead forum regarding youth mentoring Stephen Wallace, chairman and CEO of Student Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) will lead a forum on providing quality youth mentoring according to a myNEU announcement. The forum, titled, “Forming Opportunities for Collaboration, Understanding and Service (FOCUS)” will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in 90 Snell Library. The lecture is sponsored by NU Libraries, the Northeastern University Center of Community Service, the Northeastern University Office of Prevention and Education and the NU Bookstore.
