With Marathon Monday on the horizon, Boston is flourishing with almost half a million spectators. Amidst all the excitement for the race, there are various pop-up activities, events and discounts ready for runners and spectators along the route. Here are some of the top things to do this Marathon Monday.
Citgo One-Mile-To-Go Block Party
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., cheer on racers as they complete their last mile at the One-Mile-To-Go Block Party along Beacon Street in front of Cornwall’s. The event will feature a pop-up Samuel Adams beer garden next to the restaurant. Spectators can watch the runners cross the finish line on a jumbotron, play yard games and keep pace with DJ Tony Clarke from Big Night Live.
The Finishline Family Lounge
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., sneak away from the crowds to the Finishline Family Lounge — hosted by the Massachusetts-based business Gladly Family — on the second floor of Trident Booksellers and Cafe. Relax, refuel and replenish with free snacks, drinks, bathrooms, chargers and toys. Registration is free but must be done in advance.
Free cookies at Levain Bakery
If you’re a runner and make it through the 26.2-mile race, treat yourself to a free cookie at Levain Bakery Back Bay or Seaport by showing your medal before 9 p.m. Known for its crispy exterior and gooey interior, Levain’s chocolate chip and walnut cookie has a unique flavor and texture, usually weighing in at half a pound.

Double pasta portions at Eataly
Through April 21, Eataly at 800 Boylston St. is offering a limited time deal for anyone looking to splurge on authentic pasta and get their macros in. La Pizza & La Pasta is offering double portions of pasta dishes like Lo Spaghetto Al Pomodoro, Tagliatelle alla Bolognese and Pappardelle al Ragù di Funghi.

Blu Dot freebies
Located in Seaport, the minimalist furniture store is offering racers with bibs a free pair of socks. Runners can also enjoy free coffee and tea, as well as receive 20% off one item of choice. All offers are available until April 27. Don’t forget your race bib!
Recover with Release Boston
Release Wellness-Being Center in Back Bay is offering premium treatment for runners and friends through April 27. Free with the purchase of the deep tissue massage, runners can access CBD spot treatment to relax exhausted muscles. Runners can also bring their friends to Bliss, complete with cold plunges, contrast therapy, and infrared and traditional saunas, among many other amenities, for two hours compared to the traditional one hour.
These are just a sample of ways to get in on the Marathon Monday fun. Don’t forget to bring noisemakers, signs and music to keep the energy rolling for the runners. The runners start in Hopkinton Common, mark the halfway point around Natick and Wellesley and finish at Boylston Street next to the Prudential Center.
