The women’s crew team has been selected as this edition’s Northeastern News Player of the Week. The varsity, second varsity, and novice squads all took the top spot in last week’s race against Boston College and Rutgers at the Charles River. The varsity won with a time of 7:22.1, almost nine seconds ahead of the second-place Scarlet Knights. The second varsity beat the Eagles by almost seven seconds in their race, posting a finishing time of 7:41.6. Still, the most impressive performance may have come from the Huskies’ novice group. They bested second place Rutgers by almost 26 seconds in the most dominating display on the day. The wins put NU at 2-0 for the season.
