With all that spring has to offer, it is no surprise that the season was once again voted best quarter to be on campus.
The warm weather and sunshine make spring a happy time. The weather is also responsible for making Northeastern a beautiful place to be. In the center of the city it is refreshing to see things such as flowers and fresh landscaping. Northeastern also offers plenty of green space for recreational sports, studying, and even sunbathing.
Northeastern being the melting pot of diversity that it is, people from all over the world can usually recognize spring as a happy time of the year. Naturally there are always those people who see 50 degrees as a tropical climate and break out the shorts in March. Those people are often inspirational with their wishful thinking — especially in instances such as this year when it’s still about 40 degrees outside in the month of May.
Of course with spring also comes the event most students look forward to all year, Springfest. One of the biggest events on campus throughout the year Springfest offers a great excuse to come out of winter hibernation and celebrate the “best quarter on campus.”
The prelude to summer is often great because no matter what you wear it’s bound to be in season. Monday could be cords and boots, and Tuesday shorts or capri’s and flip flops. Spring is the season for all wardrobes. New England weather is infamous for being temperamental.
After what can sometimes be referred to as “the dead of winter” it is invigorating when spring rolls around and the city awaits — just think, no more having to check that big bulky coat!
With all this season has to offer it is no surprise that it was once again voted best quarter to be on campus.
