As citizens headed to the polls this election day, the United States came up on a full year of Donald J. Trump’s presidency. Northeastern is no exception to the rest of the country; there is still a swirling discussion of the good, bad and ugly of Trump’s presidency.
The national board of a multicultural sorority, alpha Kappa Delta Phi, voted Monday to close its chapter at Northeastern University because of the chapter’s hazing practices, a sorority official said on Tuesday.
“This was a big game, especially since it’s a league game,” head coach Dave Flint said after the game. “[Maine] is a tough opponent for us, they’ve got a lot of skill and a great goalie.”
The Huskies (17-13, 10-6 CAA) had about a week to rest and recover after a challenging end to the regular season. The team came out looking refreshed and well-prepared for the CAA tournament, which was hosted by James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The time capsule is a large silver container that participants filled with letters and objects that represent why they want to stop climate change. Volunteers will bury it at the Food Project’s Roxbury Garden, an urban garden on the Dudley Land Trust. The date for the burial has not been set yet. It will be dug up in 50 years, in 2067.
