The Northeastern University (NU) field hockey team cruised to a 14-5 record in 2014, led by strong veteran players. The team has returned for its 2015 campaign, this time with a much younger squad. Though it’s early in the season, the reigning Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) regular-season champions have struggled. The Huskies currently hold a record of 1-3 after facing three ranked opponents.

Former Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of Wednesday morning on a smattering of charges relating to the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd. Despite lacking a motive, eyewitness and weapon, the jury found Hernandez guilty of first-degree murder.

Springfest rocks Matthews Arena

The Knocks, AWOLNATION and Jason Derulo performed at Matthews Arena as a part of Northeastern University's Springfest 2015 on the night of Saturday, April 11.
On March 18, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev sat flanked by his defense team. Now, over three weeks later, he has been convicted on all 30 counts he was charged with, including 17 which carry the death penalty. Jurors will hear arguments regarding his potential death sentence in the next phase of the trial.

As of Wednesday, April 8, a set of twelve jurors found 21-year-old suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev guilty of 30 charges relating to the dual bombings of the 2013 Boston Marathon, and subsequent manhunt, which led to the death of three marathon spectators, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Officer Sean Collier and fellow suspect and older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, and the injury of nearly 280 others.
