With recent focus on developing opportunities for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, Northeastern University is slated to open a new space in Silicon Valley. The satellite campus, coined Northeastern University – Silicon Valley, will include an 8,000-square-foot space owned by Integrated Device Technology (IDT), set to open in the fall, as well as several smaller hubs in major companies around the city that will open at a later date.

Baseball sweeps Delaware at home

The Northeastern baseball team’s seven-game losing streak was snapped with a three-game sweep of the University of Delaware this weekend. Two of the three games ended in walk-off hits for NU at Friedman Diamond.

Jamaica Plain's Germania Street no longer houses the nation's top craft brewery. Sam Adams, brewed by the Boston Beer Co., has long held the first place position on the Brewers Association's list of US craft breweries, but Pennsylvania-made Yuengling has knocked it off its pedestal.
